Photoset reblogged from Scaled Project Cars with 1 note

scaledprojectcars:

One of the most Iconic Skylines ever to race. The styling of the real car has inspired many copies over the years. This Fujimi kit is a nice example. Curbside so no engine detail. I built the kit of the car with the green stripes. The decals where thin and prone to tearing. So I ended up printing my own decals to save that kit. That’s a whole other post in it self. The box art is also great on this one.

that my car feels like shit.

I busted a heim in my cheap rucas, so now she darts all over the places with my dynamic suspension that adjusts on the fly. Not to mention both my toe arms are bent to shit from smashing against my subframe. I’m still tearing through axles because of my ride height….

are you on coils? have you considered raising the ride height? if you’re gonna buy more s13s after this one maybe you should get some steering and suspension parts that would survive to be used on the next shell. I would probably at least fix the control arm first. if you’re gonna scrap the shell, maybe you should just notch the subframe so you dont bend toe arms. just some ideas.

Raise my car? are you crazzzy boi? What good is a car if it doesn’t look rad as heck and scrapes everywhere?

For real though. I’m stubborn. I raised my car once and absolutely hated how it looked. I only raised it like half an inch too. Even when I dialed out camber in the rear it made me like it less >:(

Never raising it again.

I’m not going to drop money on a $100 pair of 6 year old rucas. It’s not detrimental to anything that isn’t easily replaceable, so I’m not too concerned until I have to make a long highway drive. As for other shells, I think if I toast this shell I won’t be getting another s13. So yeah, cheap arms are likely in the works if I go that route. I won’t notch my subframe because that’s worth $100 to most people around here with hicas cars. My toe arm basically looks like your standard high end aftermarket toe arm now and still has enough adjustment to get to 0* of rear toe (cam bolts on both ends). It doesn’t hit very often anymore.

I live by words I learned from logan-noel many years ago.

"It’ll clearance itself eventually"

logan noel is pretty wise tbh
