floatingdino said: Would you rather: a job you enjoy, or a job that pays you really well

thislifeintransit:

Job I enjoy. I tend to live within my means, so money isn’t terribly important to me.

I have a well paying job right now (by my standards anyway) but I have a lot of trouble with it because of my co-workers. I tried quitting earlier this year but got offered this wage  to stay. It was to good to say no at the time. I’m stressed out at work 90% of the time and it’s not even a hard job. I come home every day mentally exhausted and unhappy and I hate feeling that way. The only thing that really pushed me through every day is the paycheque and knowing where that money is gonna go. I’m pretty close to being debt free again and I’m looking forward to that immensely.
I dunno though, this job is actually pretty close to being really good. I like what I’m doing, it’s pretty rewarding in some circumstances. I have a lot of freedom and control in some areas. it’s just the way my co-workers act and operate that make it very hard to do my job properly very often. Only one of them has any screenprinting experience and he hasn’t been on the floor for 8-10 years because he’s been running the business. The one “artist” is a girl a few years out of highschool with no true design experience, the other is a guy in his late 30’s that used to make pub menu’s. He recently took a course on high mesh stuff so that’s all he’s been trying to pump out and it never works because he doesn’t understand how printing works. Then the two sales ladies keep pushing weird products that we’ve never printed on or that I’ve been very vocal about how poor they are for printing…and ahhh I’m gonna stop complaining. 5 more months. 5 more months. 5 more months.

what happens in 5 months?

The first flared 2015 STI?

If that’s not painful enough for you, might want to check out the entire process over on his forum post.

Warning… It can’t be unseen.

Looks awful
:-)

that thread is a trainwreck. the guy sort of goofed the fitment in the rear but i think once the car is lowered on his 18x11(!!!) wheels it might look okay. also it has a custom homemade diffuser that would look great on a more aggressive car but the thing already has a diffuser that’s molded plastic. I don’t really get why people buy a $30k car and spend $300 on fender flares butwhatever, it’s his money. makes it more compelling to see what the final product looks like.
